History
Started in March 1983, in Ascot Corner, Québec,
the company « Les Distributions Payeur Inc » is the
continuation of the business Mr Louida Payeur started in 1952 ;
he was then the sole owner of « Louida Payeur Inc ».
At the beginning “Louida Payeur Inc »’s main activity
was the sales and service of farm tractors and equipments. In 1956,
the Allis-Chalmers company organized a party to celebrate the sales
performance of Mr. Payeur : Here is a photo taken at the party,
showing Mr, Louida Payeur and his brother Anicet Payeur, and the
members of Louida Payeur Inc’s personnel.
The company added the sales and the distribution of the KIOTI tractors
in 1985, the line of the BEARCAT chippers/schredders and the line
of the GRASSHOPPER frontmounted mowers in 1990 and the METAVIC products
in 1994. The actual version of The Forester has been developped
in 1996. In order to adapt The Forester to the specific needs of
the professional foresters, a complete line of equipments and accessories
has been designed and is still in constant evolution.
Members from the first, second and third generations
of the Payeur’s family, are working actively in the business.
Today a team of 30 persons work for the company. Please allow us
